Terms of Service
The rules for using Revbound. They are written to be read. If anything is unclear, ask us at harsh@revbound.io before you buy.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to revbound.io, the Revbound application at app.revbound.io, its API and MCP server (together, the "Service"). The Service is provided by Scalix KlientsGrowth LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in India, trading as Revbound ("Revbound", "we", "us"). "You" means the business that creates or uses a Revbound workspace, and the people it lets use that workspace.
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms on behalf of your business, and you confirm you have the authority to do so. The Service is for businesses only, not consumers. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these terms.
2. Accounts
- You must give accurate details and keep your login secure. You are responsible for everything done under your account and by the team members you invite.
- Workspace owners control who has access and what each member can see. Tell us straight away at harsh@revbound.io if you think someone has used your account without permission.
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract.
3. Free trial
New workspaces get a free trial of 3 days with every feature and no usage limits. One trial per business. When the trial ends, the workspace becomes read-only and AI processing stops until you buy a plan. If you do not buy a plan, the workspace is handled as described in section 7.
4. Plans and billing
- Prices. Current plans, prices and limits are on our pricing page. Prices are in US dollars and exclude taxes, which are added at checkout where they apply.
- Merchant of record. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which sells the Service to you as merchant of record. Dodo's own terms also apply to the payment.
- Monthly plans renew automatically each month on the date you subscribed, and we charge the payment method on file until you cancel.
- Replies and overage. Each plan includes a number of replies a month. A reply is one inbound email that the AI processes, and the same email is never counted twice. Allowances reset on the first day of each calendar month (UTC) and unused replies do not carry over. On monthly plans, replies beyond the allowance are charged at the overage rate on the pricing page, currently USD 15 per 1,000 replies. We warn you in the app at 70% and 100% of your allowance.
- Changing plans. You can change plans from the Plans page in the app. Price differences are worked out by Dodo at the time of the change.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, we will email you and give you a chance to update your card. If it is not fixed, the workspace becomes read-only and section 7 applies.
- Price changes. We may change prices for monthly plans. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email, and the new price applies from your next renewal after that notice. A lifetime purchase is never charged again for the same plan.
5. Lifetime plans
- A lifetime plan is a single payment that gives your workspace access to that plan for as long as we operate the Service. "Lifetime" means the life of the Service, not your life or your company's.
- Lifetime plans require your own accounts for AI, email verification and enrichment. You pay those providers directly, and their limits, costs and outages are outside our control.
- Lifetime plans have the monthly reply limits shown on the pricing page. At the limit, replies continue to sync into the inbox, and AI sorting and drafting pause until the next month or until you move to a monthly plan.
- A lifetime plan is for one workspace and cannot be transferred, resold or split.
- If we ever shut down the Service, we will give lifetime customers at least 90 days' notice so they can export their data.
6. Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel a monthly plan at any time from the Plans page. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Because every plan starts with a free trial, payments for a billing period that has started, overage already used and lifetime purchases are not refundable, unless the law of your country requires otherwise or we agree in writing.
7. Lapsed workspaces and deletion
A workspace lapses when a trial ends without a purchase, when a payment fails and is not fixed, or when a cancelled plan reaches the end of its paid period. A lapsed workspace is read-only. We keep it for 14 days, email the workspace owners 7 days and 1 day before the end of that period, and then permanently delete the workspace and all its data.
An owner can also delete the workspace from Settings at any time, which cancels the subscription and deletes the data immediately. We do not keep backups of customer workspaces, so deleted data cannot be recovered. It is your responsibility to export anything you want to keep.
8. Acceptable use
Revbound handles replies to outbound email, so how you send matters. You agree that you will:
- follow the laws that apply to your outreach and to the people you contact, including anti-spam and privacy laws such as CAN-SPAM, CASL, the GDPR, the UK GDPR, PECR and India's DPDP Act;
- have a lawful basis for every contact in your workspace, honour opt-out requests promptly and not contact people who have asked you to stop;
- follow the terms of the sending tools, calendars and AI providers you connect.
You agree that you will not:
- use the Service to send spam, phishing, malware, deceptive or unlawful content, or to harass anyone;
- store special categories of personal data (such as health, religious or biometric data) or data about children in the Service;
- try to access another customer's workspace, probe or break our security, or overload the Service;
- scrape, copy, resell or rebuild the Service, or use it to build a competing product;
- share logins, or get around plan limits by creating extra trial or lifetime workspaces.
9. Your data
You own the data you bring into your workspace ("Customer Data"). You give us permission to host, copy, process and transmit it only as needed to provide and support the Service for you. For personal data in Customer Data, you are the controller and we are your processor: we act only on your instructions given through the Service, keep it confidential, use the subprocessors listed in our Privacy Policy, help you answer data subject requests where we can, and delete it as described in section 7. If you need a signed data processing agreement, email us.
We may use anonymous, aggregated usage figures that do not identify you, your clients or any person (for example, total replies processed across the Service) to run and improve Revbound.
10. Connected tools
Revbound works by connecting to tools you choose, such as your sequencers, calendars, AI providers and data providers. You authorise us to access them with the keys you provide and to send email through your connected mailboxes when you or the features you switch on ask us to. Those tools are run by other companies under their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability, for changes to their APIs, or for limits they place on your accounts.
11. AI features
AI classifications and drafts are generated automatically and can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing what is sent in your name and for the features you allow to send without review, such as the auto-responder, out-of-office follow-ups and cadences. You can switch each of these off at any time.
12. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and running correctly, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free, and we do not offer a service level agreement unless we agree one in writing. We may improve, change or remove features. If we remove a core feature of a paid plan, we will tell you in advance.
13. Intellectual property
We own the Service, including its software, design, text and the Revbound name and logo. While you have an active trial or plan, we give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your business's internal purposes and to serve your own clients, within the limits of your plan. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close a workspace if you seriously break these terms, if your use puts the Service, other customers or the people you contact at risk, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we close a paid workspace without cause, we will refund the unused part of any prepaid period. Sections 7, 9 and 13 to 20 continue to apply after these terms end.
15. Disclaimers
Except as stated in these terms, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all other warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Revbound helps you manage replies. It does not guarantee any number of replies, meetings, deals or revenue.
16. Limitation of liability
- Neither of us is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, even if it was foreseeable.
- Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim, or USD 100 if you have paid nothing.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
17. Indemnity
You agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs, including legal fees, arising from a third-party claim caused by your Customer Data, your outreach, or your breach of section 8.
18. Governing law and disputes
These terms and any dispute about them are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute comes up, we will first try in good faith to settle it by talking for at least 30 days. If that does not work, the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra, India have exclusive jurisdiction.
19. General
- Changes to these terms. We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. For material changes we will email workspace owners at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
- Events outside our control. Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as outages at hosting or connected providers, changes to third-party APIs, or natural disasters.
- Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our written consent. We may transfer ours as part of a reorganisation or sale of our business.
- Severability and waiver. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- Entire agreement. These terms, the Privacy Policy and the pricing shown at purchase are the whole agreement between us about the Service, unless we sign something different.
- Notices. We send notices to the email address of the workspace owner. You can send notices to the address below.
